First of all, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the love and encouragement I received last week with my first fashion post! I had so much fun putting that post together, and was really floored by all the positive feedback everyone gave. So thank you everybody! Your positive words really meant a lot to me!
So with that in mind, I’m going to have another go at it!
It may still be February but here in sunny Florida, we are definitely jumping into spring! Which means any chance of me getting to break out scarves and jackets are becoming fewer and farther between. Pretty soon it will be all shorts and flip flops for a solid 10 months. So over the weekend, when we decided to break out of the house for a family day, and I saw highs in the 60’s, I jumped at the opportunity to savor my scarf and jacket just one more time!
I was even more excited because it was supposed to be a gorgeous day for our local farmer’s market. Not to mention we were way overdue for some family time. Phillip had been extra busy during the week with his job, and Felicity had been on some crazy napping strike (so glad that’s over). Mama needed out of the house, and a family day was definitely in order.
Of course the chucks made an appearance…
So you can imagine my disappointment when we got to the farmer’s market location and realized we had the dates wrong! Some girls have all the luck, I tell ya…
But my husband is a flexible kid who indulged me in a day date of driving around town and scavenger hunting some Shopkicks (remember reading Dating on a Dime…I wasn’t kidding, it’s a great date!). Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches when plans change I guess. And you know what, we still ended up having a great time!
Always have to throw in an outtake picture right?!
Everybody else ready to jump back into spring? Hope you guys had a great weekend and are setting up to have an awesome week!
