It’s naptime over here while I write this, which if I’m being honest with you, is my favorite time to write. Phillip’s off working, the house is quiet, and if I’m lucky I can usually squeeze in a quick workout and crank out a few sentences on my trusty old laptop. I came across a quote the other day when I was perusing the internet and it simply said, “Live life in full bloom”. So simple, but it stuck with me.
I’ve let it been rolling around in my mind these last few days. It’s one of those phrases that sounds so simple and easy on paper, like “Yea, live life in full bloom! Absolutely let’s do that!” But what does that actually look like? Do I honestly feel like I can say that’s something I do in my day to day life?
How often to I allow my life to just sort of go by me, or get so caught up in the unimportant things that I go to bed at night and realize I really missed out on the good stuff? If I’m being honest, more often than I’d care to admit.
Things like fear, insecurity, maybe even laziness get in my way and prevent me from really making the most out of today. None of those reasons really hold merit when I think about what I might be missing out on by letting them have control in my life.
I don’t want to feel like I’m living my life at a mediocre level. I want to go to bed knowing I lived it out to the fullest. I lived it in absolute full bloom.
So my hope for you is the same. Make the most of your day today. Remember that it’s only going to come around once, so embrace it. Don’t settle to live today at a mediocre level. Live today out with joy and seize it for what it is. Go to bed tonight knowing you lived your day in full bloom.
- Phillip started in a big built-in project this week, which still makes me flashback to that time he did built-ins that had to be stored in our living room. And by “stored” I mean completely took over our house…
- We are round two of our seedling attempt! But they sprouted this time, so we’re moving in the right direction here people. All prayers and crossed fingers are greatly appreciated.
- Easter egg hunts are officially the cutest spring tradition ever. This year was our first time doing one with our daughter, and I’m so sold that I’m trying to make it into a weekly tradition. 😉
- Finally getting caught back up on my 52 book challenge this month, because March seriously kicked my butt. Now, do you think my daughter’s story books can count towards my goal? Because then I’m just overachieving over here.
Hope everyone has a beautiful faith and family filled Easter weekend! Oh! And don’t forget to snag a copy of your own “Full Bloom” art right here! See you next week!
