You know how everyone has that one dish that all their friends ask them to bring at the next get together? The dish that is always the first to be devoured and is talked about for weeks to come. For me, it’s my world’s best guacamole recipe. It has even been known to make guacamole haters into believers.
Side note: if this recipe doesn’t convert a hater…that hater cannot be trusted. Make a new friend.
There are very few dishes in this world that instantly transport me to summer time, but this my friends, is one of them. Maybe it’s the lime, maybe it’s the avocado, maybe it’s the fact that my kitchen looks directly out to my pool when I’m making it at my counter? Who knows? All I know is every time I make this dish, it’s summer time in my book. And wouldn’t you know…summer AND Cinco de Mayo are right around the corner, and this dish is exactly what you need for your celebration!
And since we’re friends, I’m going to let you in on a little secret…this recipe is ridiculously easy to make. By all means, play it off like it’s crazy complicated to your friends to make it more impressive, but it’s completely for show. No, in reality, the hardest part about this recipe is keeping your hands off it long enough to let it chill.
